Bank Core Data Integration FAQs

AccuAccount integrates with more than 30 bank cores along with numerous loan origination systems and other commercial lending applications. Your lending tech stack consists of multiple solutions, which is why we build value-added integrations to help you maximize return on investment.

As with any bank core data integration, you may have questions about what is possible with our software. In this article, I’ll answer the most common questions that we hear before and during implementation.

Why Integrate if Our Core System Already “Does Imaging?”

Don’t get me wrong. Your core system performs countless tasks for your bank each day. From maintaining balances to preparing statements and calculating interest, it’s hard to imagine modern banking without the core.

That being said, not every core is optimized for loan administration—especially when it comes to document management. Many cores offer a basic imaging module. Some offer basic exception tracking, too. But, as banks frequently tell us, very few cores offer all of the tools that are necessary to effectively image, organize, and track documents.

AccuAccount was built specifically for the needs of loan administration (although it can also be used to manage deposits and trusts). We don’t have dozens of products that we support. Our focus is entirely on document management for financial institutions. It’s all we do, and we’re really good at it.

Does AccuAccount Integrate to My Core?

As I mentioned above, we interface with at least 30 core banking systems.

How Does Our Bank Core Data Make It Into AccuAccount?

Data ingestion into AccuAccount is straightforward. Most banks are already familiar with writing queries out of their reporting systems. AccuAccount ingests data via your core system’s report writer. (We also have tools to accelerate the data mapping process during implementation.)

Once the integration has been configured, data is automatically refreshed on a nightly basis.

What Data Can Be Pulled from the Core into AccuAccount?

Generally speaking, most data falls into one of two categories:

Standard data fields: AccuAccount’s standard data fields include basic customer and account information, such as: customer name, addresses, contact information, account opening dates, loan balances, loan descriptions, account descriptions, officer names, account classifications, collateral type, and many others. Contact our implementation team for a full list of our standard data fields.

Custom data fields: We can also ingest bank-defined fields, such as valuations, valuation dates, flood zone details, TDRs, mother’s maiden name, birthplace city, and practically anything else from your core.

How Often is Data Updated?

AccuAccount automatically pulls in fresh data once per day (usually during non-business hours after your nightly core processing finishes).

What if We Switch Cores?

No problem! That’s actually one of the benefits of deploying AccuAccount. Because AccuAccount integrates with 30+ core banking systems, your data feed can be easily updated to a new core (without requiring a complex conversion).

With AccuAccount, your documents are never held hostage.
