Dynamic Reporting: Slice & Dice Your Data

As a commercial loan processor, you have a lot on your plate.

In addition to processing documentation, ensuring completeness of loan files, scanning and indexing documents, and countless other important tasks, you’re also responsible for tracking lending-related exceptions. With each new loan that is booked to the core, your list of exceptions expands exponentially. What’s worse, accessing this information is particularly difficult if you’re using manual ticklers or spreadsheets.

In this post, we’ll introduce you to a game-changing feature in AccuAccount, sure to streamline your exception management workflow – and, for that matter, all other reporting functions at your bank.

All of Your Data, in One Place

Some imaging systems make it difficult to build custom reports. Others fail to provide the full picture, offering only a limited set of data points. AccuAccount’s Dynamic Reporting feature is unlike anything else on the market, empowering users to access the exact information they need. Thanks to AccuAccount’s integration with 30+ core banking systems, you can easily mix and match the fields that matter to you, including:

Customer fields, such as the customer’s address, first and last name, city, state, zip code, email address, phone number, and dozens of others.

Account fields, such as the account number, type, creation date, associated officer, status, and more.

Exception fields, such as assigned user, status, type, date, category, associated task dates, and others.

Document fields, which can vary based on the report you’re pulling. For example, on an exception report, the document fields would include document title, group, expiration details, etc.

Custom fields, as defined by your bank. As an example, if your bank has a flexfield for HMDA reportable loans, AccuAccount’s Dynamic Reporting can help you quickly build a report that shows only such loans.

Create in Seconds

Our Dynamic Reporting feature was designed to make your job easier, not harder. New reports can be created within seconds, providing real-time access to the answers you need. To build your first report, simply click the “Create Report” button and name the report. In this example, we’ll be creating an exception report by branch and assigned user.

Create Report

After naming the report, you’ll be taken to the report builder screen. This is where the magic really starts to happen. Pick and choose the fields that suit your needs. In this case, we’ll select assignee, branch, document title, and the exception’s type, status, and date.

Build Report

Voila, your report has been successfully created and is shareable with colleagues. It’s that easy.

Group, Sort, & Export

For a more refined report, we could drag and drop the “Branch” field to the top of the report, which automatically categorizes all exceptions by branch.

Customize Report

Need to sort your data? No problem – just click on a column header to sort the grouped data as you see fit. To sort all exceptions without a grouping, simply click the “X” to remove your filter. You could always regroup again later.

Want to adjust a column’s width or order? Everything is fully customizable to your needs. Just drag and drop to move a column, or click and slide to resize it. Exporting your report to a Microsoft Excel workbook can be done with a few clicks. Click the “Export to CSV” icon and name your file.

Reports for Every Department & Role

There’s no question that Dynamic Reporting makes the job of a loan administrator much easier. But, we believe this feature can also yield untold value to your entire bank – not just the loan operations department. By aggregating data from your core and imaging system, the sky is truly the limit.

Though it would be impossible to provide a full list of potential reports, here are some ideas:

Loan application status report: All of your loan applications in a single report, grouped by approval status and by lender.

User access report: All of your system users, grouped by the type of access they have (super user status, etc.) and what they have access to (loans, trusts, etc.).

Task report: All of your bank’s outstanding tasks, grouped by loan officer.
